Serguei Vasilievitch Valov

Serguei Vasilievitch Valov was born in Alma-Ata city, USSR on December 23, 1958. He received the Military Radio Engineer degree in Control & Communications from the Mozaiskiy Engineering Military Academy of the Space Force, Leningrad (now Saint-Petersburg), USSR in 1981 and the Candidate of Technology Sciences degree in Military Telecommunications from the Academy's Council in 1991.

For 1986-1996 he worked with the Space Communications Department of the Mozaiskiy Academy and for 1991-1996 occuped a post at the Lecturers Staff of the Department. The most research experience is concentrated within anti-jam applications of Spread Spectrum Signals, CDMA, channel coding as well as within Mobile Communications, particularly LEO application and security aspects.

Since October 1996, Dr. Valov has headed the Russian Independent Laboratory for Research and Development in Telecommunications (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). His current research interest lays within Synchronous CDMA for up-link applications, Multi-Dimensional Wireless Communications, and Software Radios.
