Jason Y.-B. Lin

Jason Lin received his BSEE degree from National Cheng Kung University in 1983, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 1990. Between 1990 and 1995, he was with the Applied Research Area at Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), Morristown, NJ. In 1995, he was appointed full professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chiao Tung University.

Lin's research interests include design and analysis of PCS network, distributed simulation, and performance modeling.

Lin is publicity chair of ACM SIGMOBILE, an associate editor of the ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, a subject area editor of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, an associate editor of the International Journal in Computer Simulation, an associate editor of SIMULATION, a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Communications Systems, a member of the editorial board of the Computer Simulation Modeling and Analysis, the Guest editor for ACM/Baltzer Wireless Network, the Guest editor for IEEE Transactions on Computers, a columnist of ACM Simulation Digest, Program Chair for the 8th Workshop on Distributed and Parallel Simulation, General Chair for the 9th Workshop on Distributed and Parallel Simulation, and Program Chair for the 2nd International Mobile Computing Conference.
