Thank you for your interest in this new type of product. This CD-ROM will be sold as a periodical: existing material will be updated and new chapters/items will be added. It is a hybrid of a book and a journal.

This product is meant to be platform-independent: the basic system requirements are a graphical world-wide web browser and multimedia capabilities.

The text is written in HTML and can in principle be viewed by almost any internet browser. However the author has written the text with the Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers in view, so in order to get the most of this product you are advised one of these two, or a similar fully featured browser.

Any useful comments are gladly received by the author.
