System 2: Add redundancy
G() applies an error correction scheme. Y is quantized into discrete values. W contains redundancy.
Disadvantages:
- For a given X, S is fixed
- The entropy H(X|W) must remain sufficiently large to guarantee the cryptographic strength of the system.
