Jean-Paul Linnartz is senior scientist with Philips Natuurkundig Laboratorium (Nat.Lab.), Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he leads a team of researchers developing watermarking, copy-control, and conditional access systems. He also is affiliated with the Department of E.E.C.S. of the University of California at Berkeley, U.S.A. as an Assistant Adjunct Professor. Previously, he was Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and researcher with the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research. He is Editor-in-Chief of a scientific CD ROM journal on wireless communication. His PhD dissertation addressed random access to radio networks.
